Who’s Next is HOT 97’s new artist initiative and platform. Our goal is to provide new artists from across the U.S. with opportunities that support their musical dreams.

• Web App: In 2018, we built a digital platform for artists to submit their music to gain honest feedback from real people. We have since evolved into offering promotional, exposure, mentorship, and performance opportunities for our contest winners! 
• Content: From Who’s Next My Grind to Leaderboard Live, we keep fresh content on the HOT 97 YouTube that showcases who is bubbling in the streets!
• Showcases: With decades of legacy, our Who’s Next Showcases are renown as a rite of passage for major artists from and visiting NYC. Names like Cardi B, The Weeknd, Drake, Megan Thee Stallion, and more have performed on our stage early in their careers!

We know you work hard for your dream. We’re here to support you! Receive feedback on your music from real people, plus enter your track into our seasonal contests for your chance to win big prizes! 

How to Submit a Track

1. Click the button below or go to whosnext.hot97.com.
2. Click the “Submit A Track” Button.
3. Create your Who’s Next account. Use a valid email address in case we need to contact you! 
4. Enter the title of your track and your YouTube or SoundCloud link. 
5. Enter your payment information to pay the submission fee.
6. After paying the submission fee, your track gets sent to our Curators for rating! 
7. If the crowd thinks your track is HOT, it will make it to the Top 20 Leaderboard!

Curators can win prizes in our seasonal contests like money, tickets, and more!

How to Rate Music

3. Create your Who’s Next Account. Use a valid email address in case we need to contact you! 
4. Rate the track honestly. 🔥= HOT, 🔧= Needs Work, 🗑️=Trash 
5. Leave a comment to encourage them or help them improve.
6. Your next track will appear for rating! Go ahead, new Curator!
